The pool was meant to look tropical and yet still carry an Asian theme. Although the plant material was not in when this picture was taken, it made the backyard look like it was somewhere in the orient. We also built a small koi pond that simarlarly, was not landscaped when we finished. Both structures together help the backyard to carry a very peaceful ambiance.
